Making a difference in the lives of children

Scholarship Program

“We are responsible for building bridges for our future, the most important component of which is our youth.” - Don Bolen

Small World funded its first Scholarship Program in 2001 where two four-year scholarship awards were given. Each scholarship was $8,000 for the four years. Each candidate was selected based on the requirements set by Small World and the Frisco Independent School District. Since inception, Small World has established a relationship with Collin College, awarding 2 years’ scholarships for students wishing to complete their first two years at a well-accredited school dedicated to excellence. Each scholarship includes books and tuition.

Back to School Program

Due to COVID-19 and for your safety, our upcoming Back To School Program has been canceled for 2020. We will re-evaluate plans for 2021 as more information becomes available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Small World believes that every child deserves to start their first day of school with pride and a great big smile. Frisco City and Kohl's department stores, Small World partners, provide resources for needy school age children's Back to School by donating funds to purchase new clothes, shoes for the start of a school year. Community, school and store volunteers, donate their time to make this event a success.

Our Christmas Angel Program assists families by providing needed clothing as well as fulfilling wishes during the holidays. This program is possible due to the generous support of private individuals, corporations, and enormous efforts from community volunteers, our school district, their staff, parents and students of all ages willing to ensure that disadvantaged children have a happy holiday season.
